AT Engine Controls specialises in the design. Development, manufacture and support of computer based control and monitoring systems for harsh environments. The AT Engine Controls equipment has established a worldwide reputation for quality in demanding applications.

AT Engine Controls aviation experience dates from 1957, when the company designed the first full authority control system for the Rolls-Royce Gnome engine initially fitted to the Westland Whirlwind and now in extensive use worldwide on the Sea King Helicopter.

The Digital Electronic Control Unit (DECU) is AT Engine Controls’ other key Aero product, which is a major component of the Full Authority Digital Control Unit (FADEC) system, designed for the Textron Lycoming T-55 engine which powers the Boeing Chinook dual rotor helicopter.


Manufacturing and testing is carried out in a modern, well equipped BS EN ISO 9001:2008 accredited site. This site, has 2050m2 dedicated to PRINTED Circuit Board (PCB) assembly and electrical/mechanical assembly and repair.

The site is continuously monitored to ensure that the highest standards are met and an experienced and flexible workforce is maintained to provide the best in AT Engine Controls services.
